Too aggressive here with no reads on players or good play at PL25?

First, RAISE MORE before the flop! the smallest raise I ever make in NL25 is $1.25. people will call .85 much faster than 1.25 or more.

Now, you can't like the situation you are in very much since you sorta got trapped in the action. The converter messed up somewhere b/c I dont know who reraise it after MP3 made it 8.1. I'm guessing the BB went allin though it could have been you.

I put CO on diamonds. MP3 may have folded AK or something similar. BB has either a set or 2 pair if he was the one who went allin first. If he has K9, you got lucky and counterfeited his ass. If not, you lose.

Tell us what the action was and then you'll get some better responses

It was PL, couldn't raise more.

consider limp reraising.

He can't raise more than $.85 because this is pot limit. That said, I'm thinking someone somewhere has to have you beat, but you at least lucked out with MP3 being a douche.

The game is Pot Limit. He is first in the pot and, I think, .85 is the max as that point. I will occasionally play PL, but it's pretty tough to isolate with 85 cents.

this is the right answer, especially at the $25PL. a pot raise from UTG is not enough to thin the field to give you a big edge. if you limp and it gets limped through, then you'll just have to play a small pot...better than losing a big one because you got 6 preflop callers.

just don't make this the only hand that you limp-reraise with.

Cool, good to know, I am new to PL so just learning.

Figure it will cost me a few stacks along the way. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

i love PL. it's my game of choice...the differences between PL and NL are subtle, but PL definitely gives a player skilled in pot control/manipulation a bigger edge.
