How does one find a good sales job - one where decent money can be made, but where you can make your own hours? I had a good one before where i received f/t pay for working like 4-5 hours a day - I did what I had to do, and that was that. That was a while back and I left for a different opportunity. Now I wanna get back to the sales job with fewer hours, but all I'm finding are totally crap opportunities that will not pay anything decent at all, or ones that will pay decent $$, with long days.

Does anyone know where you can find a sales opportunity to make decent money while working on your own terms? (and obviously not 9-5, or else I would sit at a desk all day and loaf)

This is not Burger King... your way right away. In order to make decent money your most likely will have to put in the hours, at least a 40 hour work week.

I've been selling real estate for just over 3 years now and it's great. You do make your own hours (but when people want to look at homes you better get there). It is a commission job however so may not be something for you.

I work when I want. I start my day when I want. I work from home or go to the office.

You deal with people during a hard time in there life and it can get kinda stressful for all and it takes some time to start making really good money, but when you do start making the good money it's well worth it.

Have you thought about looking into real estate? Find a broker who will let you work part time, some will, some won't. You can somewhat make your own hours, however the more you work the more you make. It seems like it might be a good option for you.

Real Estate must be cake. I have a friend with a g/f who does real estate.

I sell cars, which is fun. It's a straight commission job like real estate, but the commissions aren't nearly as big per unit. You have to be able to deal with downswings (since you are all poker players, this shouldn't be much of an issue). For example, I made $200 on Friday, and $250 yesterday. Today, I worked 7 hours and didn't make a dime. You just have to roll with it.

I don't do it, but I know quite a few who do. Real Estate is NOT cake, but you don't have to be a brain surgeon either. You have to be likeable, be available and persistent and always do what you say you will.

This sounds simple but so many people could never suceed even with this simple formula.
