do we spend so much of our time discussing and arguing insignificant things?

Examples:

10 post dissertations on why Bill Russell must be included on an all-time greatest NBA team

"Would you rather have a serious long relationship with a 10 or a 9?"

(Please note I do not claim to be innocent of the above.)

Well, many of these arguments may be pointless and ultimately comes down to personal preference. Nonetheless, most of us seem to enjoy arguing, and it sure makes for more stimulating debate discussing with OOT how many 5 year olds I could take out than discussing it with my wife.

What I don't understand is the moronic questions about mundane everyday items. Which steakhouse in Atlanta serves the best steaks might be a worthwhile topic, but which fastfood place should I go to for lunch might not. Seriously, people. Just use some common sense when thinking about posting.

The alternative, which is work, is even more boring... believe it or not.

Well, I don't have TV so this is my current mindless relaxaion device.
Also, I have a goal of 1000 posts. Why? For the hell of it. Whatever, it compliments my other current serious goals, like running a marathon.
