Party $5/10.

I raise Q/images/graemlins/spade.gifJ/images/graemlins/spade.gif in the hijack. CO, Button and the blinds all call. This is most unusual.

Flop: A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif.

Checked to me. I bet. Anyone check this?

Only the button calls. He's a little looser than he should be and quite passive.

Turn: J/images/graemlins/heart.gif.

I bet. He calls. Does anyone check here?

River: 6/images/graemlins/club.gif.

I check, planning to call a bet. Should this be a check-fold given his passive tendencies? Or a thin value bet to charge his non-ace pair?

Guy.

Pot's too big for me to just check/fold I think, if I'm going to put one bet in on the river anyways betting is much better than checking because his prior passiveness means he might call with a worse hand but probably won't raise with one. So I bet/fold.

What if you think he might check behind with an ace?

Do you have many hands with him? If you think he's passive enough that he might check behind with an ace, he probably won't bet without one more than 11% of the time, so I could check/fold.

With no read, I think hes only checking behind hands you beat and betting hands you lose to.

So I also like the bet/fold.
