PS $27 turbo

The blinds were stupidly high and figured my hadn was well in front. If i won i would have a dominate chip position. I was looking to steal but i knew i needed a decent hand as people would call with anything.

Was this a good call on my behalf?

Was this a good/bad call on villians behalf?

Crap, I have no idea how to play this. It all depends on how Button's playing, I guess.

(Oh, and don't use ICM for this one, I'll let other posters figure out why).

this is totally dependent on what kind of player foe is

I think A7s is a great hand to push with but if he's really tight I may fold

Forget to mention that button was stealing alot and raising my blinds every chance he got. I figured the a,7 was well in front.

I see why you're saying this, but I think ICM is still the correct tool for this. IMO, this is a very easy fold. I know those blinds are huge, but the equity transfer is far to great to battle here with shortstack allin on the next hand.

Well, make sure your call equity is actually correct instead of just plugging in numbers to SNG PT... /images/graemlins/smile.gif

If shorty was not gonna be all next hand would u call?

That would make this a much, much easier fold.

Wouldn't it much it a much harder fold. As you would know you needed more chips to surive?

I figured when it became a crapshoot like this i should take an edge like this. I mean isn't folding a,7 here way to tight?

What kind of hand would you need to call here?

If all the stacks were a little more evened out, then yes, I agree with these blinds that this is a great call.

Oh crap, I completely misread the original post.

For some reason, I though Hero had Villain outchipped.

So, let's run some ICM.

Fold EQ = .28 of prize pool
Call EQ = Chance of winning * EQ if you win
EQ if you win = .43 Equity

.43 * x = .28
X is the amount of time you need to win to make calling profitable. You need to win 65% of the time. If Button's pushing any 2, you're only 61%. That's nowhere near good enough.

This is very very foolhardy, there is somebody at 1xBB who is going to be all in next hand.

I like the move by the button but your call is suicidal. A7os is never "out in front" unless you are up against a2-a6.

Is the converter messed up on this, cus I read it at as the button pushing and you calling off your stack. If this is true I really really really hate it.

No the convertor did not screw up, i did /images/graemlins/blush.gif

At least i now know that part of this downswing is my fault
