Hmm...this reasoning is opaque to me...are we just trying to get to showdown cheaply thinking A/WB? I don't really understand, since if I raise and get 3-bet, I can call/fold even cheaper than paying 2.5 BB and showing down.

But I can also fold a lot of marginal hands with six outs against me that would bluff-bet this board, and the pot is probably big enough to try to win...but I'm sure I'm wrong because you guys agreed, so a little elaboration please? /images/graemlins/smile.gif

We have outs when behind and we don't want to give some clown UTG poster a chance to move us of our hand/draw when we're best(which is often).

Yeah, I wasn't suggesting folding the flop, rather the turn unimproved, but I see your point where in the worst case we're against like 88 and we have six outs getting 7:1 on the turn.

Even that though isn't a mistake tho, so do you think we're actually good here a decent % of the time?

Edit - duh, you said that in your post. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Yes, especially against a clown UTG poster. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Also, this is the quintessential bluffing flop.
