he played the board because he tried the lame donk bet to try and fold my opponent because its probably a split pot and I'm a donk move.

Yep. He was afraid I would check behidn and his 99 would get no river love.

I wish that Ac had been Jc instead. That would be a bad beat on almost any site :-)

How tight was this table? 8 folds! Is this normal at 3/6?

At 36/6/0.5 I can see folding when he bets the river. But I don't think I could lay down the nut flush for one bet.

They were all scared of my aggressive, tight image /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I agree, it is an interesting dilemma, but I folded for two reasons.

1) He was relatively passive overall. His bet meant he wanted me to put money in.
2) he was calling all the way down against a raiser. This meant he either had top pair, or a draw, or a monster. I could only beat the draw.
3) He bet when the ace hit. Me (the preflop raiser) is likely to have an ace. He expected a call here, and he certainly didn't think I would fold on such a perfect board for hands I might have.

After all that I folded, although I would only do it if the board double paired on the river.
