Is it in a nice or slummy area?

Do they have good food service?

And cuz my wife is coming too, is there good shopping close by? or a nice beach?

Not the greatest area, but it is near the freeway exit. You will have to venture out to shop and go to the beach. It's a smaller casino with a pretty laid back atmosphere. I actually like playing there.

The Hustler is a great place to drive up, park your car, play poker, then get your car and go back to your hotel somewhere else. The inside is really nice. I would say the same about Commerce or the Bike, although I've been told that Crowne Plaza is a decent place to stay (the hotel connected to Commerce).

These are not destinations, though. They are in commercial districts and there is nothing to do once you leave the casino grounds.

Yeah, there's nothing at all to do in the area, but the casino itself is the most elegant one in town. It's smaller than the Bike, so it's more intimate, and the chips/chairs/tables, etc. are all new and fairly nice compared to the run down crap at Commerce.

The dealers are also pretty professional. It's a good place to play and the games are very soft. There's no casino in L.A. near decent shopping/beach, so just make Hustler a destination for poker, and a separate outing for fun stuff.

they have pretty good food, except for the burgers, which i find gross. you arent close to the beach, and the games are soft, but the pots arent as big as well. the casino is pretty nice, and supposedly it is the shape of a crowne. get a comp card when you go

They usually have discounts on adult toys in the gift shop. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

PS In all seriousness, food and atmosphere at The Hustler are very good.
