Monday trip report:

My friend and I from work left Woodbridge around 10 and we started the day with some 3/6 at the Taj around noonish. No traffic at all on the way down, except a little piece of the underside of my car started dragging on the road as we got on the AC Expressway. It looked like a cover over something, so not vital to a little driving and I'll get it checked when I go to work on Wednesday. She and I always seem to end up at the same table. She's a little looser than I am, but still good. The room was slow with lots of locals around.

There was somebody at my table with THE SHIRT (that godawful ugly shirt that Steamboatin has /images/graemlins/grin.gif). I almost lost it when I saw it. Nothing terribly memorable, lots of calling stations, until I went card dead for about 2 hours and the table tightened up enough to make me get a TABLE CHANGE!!

The second table helped build my stack up starting with JJ and 6 players in for 2 bets preflop. KQs flopping a flush UTG and J5s in the BB flopping trip 5s helped bring my stack up from -20BB to -8BB. We took off for dinner around 7 when my table went 5handed, even though the room was starting to fill up.

We stopped by the House of Blues to check out their room when we got carded inside the door. I'm 25 and she's 24, this hasn't happened to me in a while in a casino. I still get carded at the booze mart though, but not in bars. I don't get it.

Anyway, there are 3 tables going at 7pm, 1 of 1/2 NL and two others that we didn't walk by. Nice looking tables with automatic shufflers and I saw a bottle of Corona at the table so that's good news.

Back to the boardwalk and cheesesteaks for dinner. Good stuff. We split a funnel cake and kept going south. Saw the room at Caesars. Also looked very nice and they had about 10 tables going. I noticed 3 players on the 3/6 list. Upstairs for the usual beatdown at blackjack and we ran into two more people from work. Chatted with them for a bit and then we walked down to see the room at the Trop.

I hadn't been there yet and it also looked very nice. It looked more like what you might picture an old card room to be. We hung out for a while and watched a stud game. If you added our ages, I don't think we would have matched the age of the youngest person at that table.

Saw the tail end of some fireworks in the distance to the south and then sat in some beach traffic around exit 100 on the way home. That's it!
