I am in a "normal" $8/$16 at canterbury tonight. Table frequently 3-4 to the flop with about half the hands raised before the flop. I'm dealt the J /forums/images/icons/spade.gif face up and the T /forums/images/icons/spade.gif face down, and then receive the Q /forums/images/icons/spade.gif face down. I fold. Comments?

edit: I'm UTG

I think that's a perfectly reasonable fold... QTs is marginal UTG in an aggressive game anyway, and the J of your suit is one of the worst cards in the deck to be dead.

If this is 7Stud I must say I think you need to loosen up your opening standards! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

That doesn't sound like a game I'd want to play QTs UTG in, even if I didn't see the J.

Tip the dealer a buck for changing your hand from a possible call to a clear fold /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I would fold even QJs UTG where half the hands are raised. I would call with QJs and JTs in EP vs one limper.
