This is how it happens. You are playing your usual four or five tournaments at a time. Hunting around for the next one, you see a nice large-field multi at party. OK, sign up.

About thirty minutes later, in one of your games you're dealt AA in the button, the pot has been raised and there are a few callers. But as you try to make a raise you notice the mouse is stuck. Ah yes, the party poker tournament has begun seating, and your computer will be frozen for the next ten to fifteen seconds. Just long enough to watch as your pocket AA gets folded. You've been PPDP'd.

That really sounds like your computers' fault, not party's....Stop being cheap and get something other than 128MB PC-100 SDRAM + Celeron + Monochrome monitor

Stop watching porn on media player in the background. Wmv files eat ram like a champion eats wheaties.

And aim away from your mouse. Or at least wipe it off right afterwards.

I dunno...I have a fairly new computer with a gig of ram and cable, and I'll still lose control of the mouse for a second when an MTT starts.. not anywhere close to the 10-15 seconds the OP claims, though.

Me too, I have a beast and ADSL and it still does that little dance with the pointer for around 5 secs when an MTT starts.
