Villan had been playing pretty aggressively try to cr the field, or just bet out? As I had backdoored the flush I didnt think it would be that scary.

I think a check/raise on the river is fine here. But I would have folded on the flop.
There is a very high risk that the flop will get raised behind you and you probably don't have more than 3-4 outs here.

I don't like your flop call at all. I fold in this spot, especially with the button behind you who 3bet preflop. With just an overcard draw with outs that have a good chance of being dubious and a backdoor flush draw, calling the flop here is spewing.

Given your play, I would bet out on the river. Even though the button is aggressive, I think you can get atleast 1-2 calls by just betting out here since there are so many players left at the river.
