It's close because of position and the fact that AKs plays really well multiway. However, I reraise here (probably like 200) because it's a button raise on the first hand. He could really have any 2 face cards or worse, and hands like AQ, AJ, AT are more likely than a big pair.

I would say AK plays better multi than medium pairs ie JJ or 10 10.

I would say none of these hands play well multi way.

I probbaly just call and go from there. I hate getting re-re-raised (potentially all in at this level) when I have zero reads and probably the best hand, but don't want to call all my chips off on a coinflip.

But then again I'm bad and that is why I lost when we played together

It is the best pure "drawing hand" which is why it plays well in a multi way pot. So many options with a hand like that compared to AA or KK where you really need to be up against only 1 or 2 players. On the play - I take my chances and probably push. Most of the time you probably take it down right there. If you don't, then at worst you are a coin flip (except the very rare case when he does have AA or KK) and half the time you win the coin flip you have started the tournament the best way possible - with twice as many chips as anyone else. I'll take that all day long in the long run.

LOL, Hey Goot!
AKs sucks! Did you see why?! Good playin with ya, bro.

Anyway, I just called and folded when the flop came rags. Just wondering how many of you would push. BTW, Button had QQ and lost to UTG-Uber-Donks 36s which hit its gut shot on turn.

Ran PokerStove to simulate hands with AKs and AA in three way pots.

In this test. I ran AKs against two hands with the range of:

Any broadway
Any pair

AKs - 41.79%
Other two players - 29.814 a piece.

AA - 71.5%
Other two players - Around 14.5% a piece.

KK - 62%
Other two players - Around 18.8% a piece

Now. Let's try with a 4th player. Just for giggles, we'll give him any random hand:

AKs - 33%
Two broadway/any pair players - 25%
Random hand - 16%

AA - 58%
Two guys - Around 15%
Random Hand - 11.4%

KK - 52%
Two guys - About 16.5%
Random hand - 13.4%

So...show me again how AKs plays so well multi handed?

I call. I don't want reraise, get called, and be in a big a** pot this early out of position.

If you make that 6 players, and stop comparing AK to AA/KK then you'll see why. Also, consider how powerful it is to flop a flush draw multiway with AKs.
