No reads on villain, first hand at the table.

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

UTG raises, 4 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) J/images/graemlins/club.gif, 6/images/graemlins/spade.gif, A/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (3.25 BB) 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, Hero calls.

River: (5.25 BB) 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG raises, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 9.25 BB

I'm not even sure if this is a bet-fold situation...if villain were anywhere but UTG i'd probably have 3bet preflop...I feel like the rest of the hand is kind of muddled because I didn't. Thoughts? Alternate lines?

I would threebet preflop and play this much faster. The way you played it there is no way you can fold. Even decent players might raise an A10, A7-A8s here.

I'd CR the river, UTG will very likely bet.

I would 3-bet pf as well.

As you played it, I'd call the river.

I would also 3-bet pf and take it from there.

Definitely call the river raise. Sounds like you ran into A9, AJ, or AK here though.

I c/r this turn.
You're almost always ahead, don't want him to see river cheap AND he'll call down with any A.

Against a semi-tight UTG raiser you have enough equity to three bet here imo. Not to mention how much easier it is to play.

i c'r the flop here. You will often get called by KJ/QQ or who knows what. And with AQ you gotta call down even if you get popped on the turn.

The way you played it the river is bet-->call. The only place you can fold this hand is if you decide to checkraise the turn and you get 3 bet(providing that you have some stats that point to his sanity).
