Pacific Poker 2/4 NL

No read; 9 handed

B ($959.44)
CO ($477.80)
MP2 ($1007.88)
HERO ($786)
UTG+2 ($672.10)

UTG ($410.30)
BB ($387.00)

Hero has K /images/graemlins/spade.gifK /images/graemlins/club.gif

Action:

2 folds, Villain bets $8, Hero raises to $30, MP2 calls $30, CO folds, Button calls $30, SB folds, BB calls $30, Villain raises to $127, Hero calls, 3 folds

Flop: ($346) 4 /images/graemlins/spade.gif5 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif6 /images/graemlins/spade.gif

Villain pushes for $545.10

I folded, but I'd like some comments. Figured villain for AA.

When he re-raises to $127, can you put him on AA and be done w/ the hand? Is that to weak?

Screams AA to me.

I just dont think AA is raising this hard pre-flop. Why would AA try to kill the action here with such a big reraise with a huge hand.

This can easily be JJ or QQ, with AA as less likely and KK as much less likely but possibly.

I think this is a a definite +EV call.

JJ/QQ preflop doesnt make this raise because nothings going to call that it beats. it calls the reraise after its raised preflop for set value.

unless you are playing against a moron, this is not going in your favor. if you happen to be against some sucker who players QQ and JJ like this, you could toss your chips in. it is pacificpoker and the players there are the absolute worst on the internet. but you gotta know your man

I think with so many callers at $30 a piece that he had to raise big to narrow the field. No way he does this w/ JJ. QQ is a possibility, but there was too much money at stake for me to gamble here.

I'm not even sure I'm calling his reraise preflop. I think his reraise does scream either AA or AK. Obviously one is better than the other, but on the flop, I either feel ridiculously behind with no K, or ridiculously ahead with a K. It is such a bad line to take on his part though. He really is not getting anywhere near his maximum value if has AA. The minraise preflop makes me think he is a donk though and donks have a major tendency to push flops with AK becaues they don't want to get rid of their hand. I think this is a tough fold but if I'm putting him on AA preflop I'm not calling that re reraise hoping to set.

at that price, you have to win more than 61% of showdowns for the call to be +ev. i'm nowhere near that confident.
