"Thoughts of peace, particularly in the middle of chaos, take great energy. People who can ignore the physical evidence of wars and purposely think thoughts of peace will triumph---but in your terminology the word 'meek' has come to mean spineless, inadequate, lacking energy."

"You may have heard people say of an idea 'Its time has not yet come.' This simply means that there is not enough energy connected with the idea to propel it outward into the world of physical experience as an objective mass-experienced event."

"You do not have to be ignorant of wars in other corners of the world, or close your eyes. But if you allow those experiences to overcloud your present, valid intersection with reality, then you speak and act from a position not your own, and deny the world whatever benefits your own present version of reality might allow you to give."

"When people are convinced that the self is untrustworthy, for whatever reasons, or that the universe is not safe, then instead of luxuriating in the use of their abilities, exploring the physical and mental environments, they begin to pull in their realities to contract their abilities, to overcontrol their environments. They become frightened people and frightened people do not want freedom, mental or physical. They want shelter, a definite set of rules. They want to be told what is good and bad. They lean toward compulsive behavior patterns. They seek out leaders--- political, scientific or religious---who will order their lives for them."

"When [we] populate the world with ideas of peace, then peace will grow."

Trance-communication is nothing new, but most delivered material is...umm, to put it politely, a little hokey. For example, Edgar Cayce, the Christian "sleeping prophet" as he was referred to, gave info while in a pseudo-sleep state, but it was mostly dogmatic. Supposedly tested and verified, he did however diagnose some medical conditions of people while in trance. A simple yet religious farmer...

War > Peace.

The idea of peace, the idea, seems to hold more fulfillment and capacity for action, than the idea of war does. For example, in the midst of a heated battlefield, your options and choices are far more limited. When under a "red alert", nation-wide, you must stand in long airport lines, stand-watch for the aggressors that you think are just around the corner, stock your home with supplies and survival necessities, and remain constantly "ready to fight". While in a state of peace, you have more opportunities to ACT AS YOU WISH. Freedom is more readily avaliable, and you are able to act as you chose, when you do not have to "stand guard" and hold your territory.

With a war imminent, your forces are fully engaged to meet the threat and defend yourself. When at peace, you are able to use your "forces" for other means, for other actions that you may choose. Freedom to act, ability to choose, at some level of thinking, these must be considered as more important than fighting against ourselves.

""The true botherhood of man can only be acheived by allowing for the freedom of thought, under the banner of cooperation."

good post very thought provoking.......but it doesn't change the fact that war makes for better TV or reading.

"Your television dramas, the cops-and-robbers shows, the spy productions, are simplistic, yet they relieve tension in a way that your public health announcements cannot do."

"Television interacts with your lives, but it does not cause your lives. It does not cause the events that it depicts. With your great belief in technology, it often seems to many people that television causes violence, for example, or that it causes a love of overmaterialism, or that it causes unloose morals. Television reflects. In a manner of speaking it does not even distort, though it may reflect distortions. The 'igniters' and actors of television dramas are attuned to the mass mind. They are not leaders or followers. They are creative 'reflectors', acutely aware of the overall, generalized emotional and [psychological] patterns of the age."

It's nice to have a diversion, to retreat from the daily world and PLAY with ideas and emotions that maybe divorced from immediate experience. Like a risk-taker, an adrenaline-junkie, or world-adventurer, Life, or the quality of life, is heightened, accelerated, and felt in ways that cannot be normally be experienced. Some such people feel alive when faced with extreme conditions, or when meeting life in a more intense fashion. To divert attention with a good book or by watching a movie could then be considered therapy, in that emotions not normally felt are given release, ideas not normally considered given free-reign. The last page is turned, the lights come on, and we return to the shared world of events, and, if lucky, we are enriched by the experience.
