A hookup or 2 evolved into somewhat regular sex a couple times a week. The other night she was drunk and wanted to "define the relationship". Ugh.

So I knew this was coming and immediately played defense mumbling something about not really wanting to date anybody right now. She says that's okay just take your time with decision etc, leaves. I find out from our mutual friends she is extremely pissed off. No more sex 4 me.

The very next night a friend has a party. She is there being an icy bitch to me, but the drinks seem to melt the ice a bit, and we begin to talk like normal people. I get drunk and want some sex, so talk myself into 'dating' her. She hears me out, buys it, I get laid.

Today is the day after.... So now she thinks we are dating and I have to provide the illusion....

Option 1: Put in the bare minimum and continue getting laid. I would expect a dinner maybe once every 7-10 days or so. Most everything else we do with friends we both share, so I could label those things (movies, bar hopping, etc) as a 'date' time. If she doesn't think I'm spending enough time with her she can dump me for all I care.

Option 2: Be honest and tell her I really had no interest in dating her but that I just was drunk and horny last night.

Try option 1 for a while. If its two hard to keep up, tell her you have some "emotional issues" you need to deal with right now, and even though you thought you were ready to start dating her your really not.

I will not let it be too hard to keep up, but that's a fine line to ride.... between pretend dating and not really caring. The only reason I think it can work for a while is because we share a large group of the same friends.

How often do you think I have to put in alone time that is not sex for this to work? I'm thinking dinner 1/7 days should be plenty no?
