View Full Version : Full Tilt - Ivey Tourney
Any hints on playing MTTs on Full Tilt. I am in the Piece of the Pro tourney starting in just a couple of minutes. The blind schedule looks fairly aggressive. Any comments or suggestions?

I'm in this too. GL.
Table59 to start. Why is "quiet Lion" in red at table 57?

It's Richard Brodie - he's a tourney pro - and the orignal author of Microsoft Word. He's on contract with FT.

At Table 41, Adar.
These guys are a different breed of fish than usual, BTW. Party play will not work here.

Looks like it is slow blinds. Decent stacks. Just play your normal game, don't try to get too fancy.

Lol. I just had someone call me 2/3 pot bet on the river with KJ high. board was 3588A.
MY pocket jacks lost to pocket queens and I am now down to 1300 chips late in first hour.

Out early after donking off 2/3 of my stack with some horribly slowplayed aces (KKx flop and the LAG I was trying to trap backdoored a flush). GL all.

4205 at the end of the first break.
Nice run, JJ. I am at 1550. Very card dead so far. By best hand was JJ, and I lost chips with it!
Good Luck,
Les

You were sitting to my right for awhile. I really liked that four hearted flush you put on that guy with the nut str8!!! aha, I suck.... Only 1900 chips, can't find a hand. Time to donk this joint up (cracknaces)

Lol. Wtf was he doing calling an all-in with QTo anyways?
I wasn't really paying attention, but what I saw from that 20+2 at Stars, you should have been out of this MTT already.

No idea, didn't see that it was all in pre flop... I haven't played on Stars today, either you have me confused with someone else or my wife was playing under my name again.
Out at 192nd. I was sitting at about 3000 chips, one half the average stack, when I was dealt pocket dueces in the big blind. It was folded to the button who raised from 300 up to 900. I pushed back all in figuring he was moving with any two from that position (especially with the antes that put 675 chips in play before the first card fell). I of course was hoping he would fold, but even if he didn't, I figured I was going against two overcards and would be a slight favorite. I was pretty much right, he had big slick, but spiked a ace on the turn to knock me out. I think my play made sense. I had two ways to win, either by him folding or my pair holding up.
Comments?

Yea, I was really luck with that A3 vs 44. Was pretty happy to get that JJ in the big blind the last hand before the break.
Good Luck the rest of the night. Family time for me the rest of the night - supper, movie, etc. Could you please review my play of pocket 2s that busted me out (covered in previous post)? I feel good about the move, but please educate me if necessary.
Have fun,
Les

Out in 30th.... Had about 24K and table monkey made it 6K to go and I pushed with 88 on the button. He insta calls with Q-10 off and of course rivers a Q. I love poker.......

42nd place /images/graemlins/frown.gif
guy who won was down to 3600 at that point with 800/1600 blinds. Opened up FTP to check up like 40mins later and he had 400k with the closest stack being just over 100k.
He then went on to be dominated 5 hands in a row and win all 5 /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Is it that time of the month or what Time? What's your problem? That's not the point, not complaining about losing a coin flip. I am complaining about a monkey CALLING an all in with Q-10 off. He was getting less then 2-1 which makes it a horrid call. Nothing like playing for over three hours and making the perfect play against the only retard left apparently. To top things off I left the window open when I went to bed and found out this kid won the thing, great..........
