Is there a difference in how you define them? Writers here and in books seem to use one or the other (some say "weak tight" as opposed to "tight weak"), but I've never seen someone use both phrases. Personal preference, or different animals?

Bump.

Any opinions: do they mean the same thing or different things?

I think tight-passive means check/calling top pair after raising preflop with AK.

I think tight-weak means check/folding top pair after raising preflop with AK because you are afraid of a set.

Ditto with the inclusion that tight-passive might not even raise preflop. Especially in a small limit HE ring game.
