View Full Version : Worrying Program -- wondering if it's real

So in surfing around the web looking at different sites about poker, I stumble across a website called deletedjustincaseitisspam/MH.com. I assure you, I have no interest in this company nor do I wish to see its software succeed.

But basically, from what I can ascertain, it claims to be "Card Tracking software" that is based on the computer analysis of millions of online poker hands -- and it claims to be able to tell you which cards are likely to appear on a certain flop, etc. They're claiming to be able to detect patterns in the RNG's to give you advantage on which cards to play.

Sounds pretty far-fetched to me...but if it IS real, it's obviously of great concern. Anyone with computer knowledge know if it's feasible or something to be worried about?

Many thanks.

-Derek

Do you only read these forums once in awhile or just post random thoughts from time to time? You've been registered here for 7-8 months and you ask this? wtf

The advanced version of this program lets you choose the cards that will be dealt on the turn and the river. It is, in my humble opinion, much better value for money than the version you mentioned.

I'm going to give you a semi-serious reply: If somebody had actually written a program that could predict the cards to come with sufficient accuracy to be useful, which would be more profitable: Use the program to play poker and don't tell anybody what you are doing, or advertize the program for sale on the internet, thus alerting the poker sites so that they could fix the bug in their software that you are exploiting and render your program useless. If you think this software is for real, I have a roulette system I could sell you. It's called the Martingale. I'd tell you how it works, but then I couldn't sell the secret.

It's real. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Alright, well I'm glad everyone has had their fun at my expense. Whatever...I don't know crap about computers or algorithm software, etc. I said in my initial post that it sounded far-fetched...but I don't know how the CIA cracks advanced encryption, either...I just know they can. So, I'd rather be safe than sorry...and if that means some of you get to laugh condescendingly at me, so be it.

Don't worry about it, Del-boy. One day someone will probably prove that the laugh is on us and that the sites have all tweaked their deal by a hundredth of a per cent to make them an extra $40,000 rake to pay their Accountant to certify they deal a fair deal.

Like my hand today:

converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A/images/graemlins/heart.gif, A/images/graemlins/spade.gif.

Turn: T/images/graemlins/spade.gif

SB has Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (full house, kings full of queens).
Hero has A/images/graemlins/heart.gif A/images/graemlins/spade.gif (full house, kings full of aces).
