Villain hadn't played a hand in the past 2 levels. I figured I could steal from these guys later and I didn't need to do anything rash with my chipstack. Agree?

Well, he put almost half of his stack in with the raise, he sure isn't going to fold to a push. In my experience, a sub-push raise here is most likely a very good hand looking to increase the chances he gets some action rather than just taking the blinds with a push. I suspect you're up against AA/KK/QQ/AK, all of which put you in a world of hurt and cripple your stack if you push.

Your stack is still in good shape, folding is not too tight, especially if you're confident that you can outplay them for their chips later.

Also worth considering is the stakes here, at the 5s or 10s i'd be much more inclined to push, whereas at the 20s and up, i'd be more inclined to fold.

This is a $55 by the way. Sorry, too late to edit my post.

By the way, has anyone seen a thread title better suited for "That's what she said." There should be a contest.
