This (http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/07/01/shark.attack.ap/index.html) makes the 3rd one attacked by a shark in Florida this week.

You have better odds of getting hit by lightning than you do of getting bit by a shark, but since the media loves these types of stories they make they seem like a much larger deal than they are. Yes, it is sad to those people who do get attacked, but really its not like an epidemic or anything, don't let the media make you think that. I like sharks and they get a bad rap from this stuff, which will most likely only add to their diminishing numbers.

The most dangerous animal for humans is other humans. More likely that one of that speci will kill you than a shark.

actually south florida is known as the lightning capital of the world. the odds are only like 1,000,000/1 instead of 100,000,000/1 anywhere else. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
