View Full Version : Taking another look at Ace X...

The first card is dealt and it's an ace, oh boy! Those from Any2card Town know this is a playable hand and they begin to pick up enough chips to call or raise depending on card number two. Card NUMBER TWO, an appropriate name in most cases. In the Valley of Patience (VoP) the cards will not be looked at until the action reaches the Rock. The Rock always demands protection with a good time tested safe kicker. In Boarder Town (BT) it's a mater of being double suited or single suited. In BT the players emotional needs play an important part in this decision making process. Of course double suit is the best because one can make two kinds of flushes. This fact escapes the thinking process of most Hold'em players.

Ace X is a spell binding two card combination everywhere except in the VoP. The X is of no concern, it's that darn Ace that hypnotizes the masses and pushes them into harms way. The history of Ace X goes back to the days when men were men, before viagra. The symbol of strength and endurance is what the Ace represents. Is it no wonder most uninformed sex crazed players want to take that Ace out for a spin. They want to penetrate their opponents defenses, attach their weaknesses and lay claim to the climax of victory.

Ace X however, will be a limp noodle to a more sophisticated two card combination. It's the kicker that causes premature explosions and ultimate destruction for Ace X. This is not to say satisfaction can never be achieved with Ace X. Even rabbits who over use their tools occasionally get satisfaction.

Ace X is hard to resist for sure but look at the alimony or child support payments directly related to the weak kicker. An unprotected Ace can be a very expensive adventure. So the next time you want some pleasure with and Ace take along some protection, take a kicker.

SPM,...using the lower brain cells without protection is dangerous thinking...
