Had just won a huge hand and was pumped. Got moved to this table and immediately went stupid. At this point we have about 27 left, and I am chip leader. (sorry about the format, can't seem to get bisonbison's converter working for me)

Go into the tank.
Fold hand.
Type "JJ" in chat.
Get read on table before next UTG+1 steal.

It's that cut and dry?

Explain, using actual reasons, why you think this?

There's like 28k in the pot, BB is pushing a huge range of hands here, and MP1 seems weak.

ROFLMFAO!!

I thought I was the only guy that types in a much better but foldable hand when I'm bluffing/stealing. I love it.

You raised and he reraised, you need to fold, if you are lucky, 2:1 dog going into the flop. Typing JJ in the chat shows that you don't steal and had a hand but may be not one worth going all-in with when you will only be a slight favorite. Whenever you change tables in a tourney, don't try to make a move, wait and feel the table, this guy that raised could be loose or tight, assume tight or at least good (after all most bad players are out) and wait until you know, then make moves.

Fold it. It's too likely you're dominated by whatever he's raising you with. You're not going to miss the 3600, but you will miss the 8200 more.

Well lets see.

Assuming it is a 100 chip ante, the pot size is 17500, and you need to call 8200 to win 25700. So you are getting 2.1-1 odds on your money.

Since you have no reads on the guy, you have to break down the hands he pushes with.

AA, you have ~6% shot
KK-66, you have a ~30% shot
55-22, you have a ~40% shot
AK-A7, you have a 20-30% shot
KQ-KT, you have a ~55% shot

First you can guess he has KK-66 more often than he is going to have AA, and that you are probably dominated with Ax more than he shows KQ-KT. Given this information and adding in a 10% chance of bluffing, this is coming razer close to your pot odds of 32%, making it a very borderline play.

Given your chip lead, I would probably make the call since you have the chance to eliminate somebody, you are getting essentially even money in pot odds and I think at this stage I think losing 8k doesn't hurt you as much as you stand to gain by knocking him out and getting yourself above 80k in chips. But this depends on how you are comfortable playing, and thus no matter what you do here its an OK play.

Thank you for being the devil's advocate here.

In case anyone is interested, I thought long and hard about this, and eventually decided to push and isolate thinking the pot was just too big, and the chance to eliminate someone out of the few remaining players was too good to pass up.

Not to be results oriented, but he ended up having 22 and I won the race. No idea what MP2 had, but BB said he folded QQ.
