View Full Version : weird fish behavior

Called to the river a few times with kigh high, including the river.

Then he bets out once on an 885 board (two tone), gets three callers and folds to a turn donk bet. To me, this looks a little like a steal (it was a 4-way unraised pot).

Then he bets out with middle pair good kicker (not OC though) backdoor flush, bets to the river with it, and calls a river checkraise on a 3-flush 4-straight board.

So... we've got a weird mix of passive and aggressive behavior here. He's not "fitting the mould".

What do I do in a case like this?

Just play my hands? Try to adjust to his adjustments as he makes them? Look for patterns (results of hands) that precipitate these changes? All of the above?

This just sounds like a fish trying to play poker more aggressively. I think the standard fish play applies. Value bet marginals, take marginals to showdown with him, etc.

I may be missing something, but that's what I would do.
