having just started playing the party sit 'n goes hardcore about 3 weeks ago i was planning on doing 5k $30s before moving up to $50s

since then i've played almost 2000 and have got about $10000 to play $50s now

newt buggs's post suggested that maybe it's easier to do better at the $50's because of the better structure and more time to pick up a hand

how valid is it that, especially for a multitabler who plays supertight early, the $50's will be better since there's more time to wait for hands?

does the player quality counteract this by much?

going strictly by money i've clearly got enough, but should i slow down or is nearly 2000 sngs enough experience to definitely move up?

are $100s and $200s only very slightly more profitable than $50s for most? i have no intention on EVER moving up to these stakes because i just would hate those swings and i've HEARD that the expected profits are slim for all but the very best players, and being a big multitabler, doubt i would come close to play very well (whereas the $50s and lower seem beatable fairly mechanically?)

should i start at 4 tables instead of 12 until i get adjusted or is this generally pointless?

suggestions appreciated -- thanks

You have $10k. Play like 500 55s and see how you do.

i dont think you need to be phil ivey to make money at the 100s.

true, my point is that when doing 8-12 at a time it's probably quite hard to obtain a win rate reasonably higher than at the $50s because the competition will be better

btw, just tried playing a set of 4 $50s with fairly good results -- i also pushed into BB at 150/300 for the 3rd time in a row, having K7o this time and having him call with 86s (i had 2200 he had 1700 and hitting an 863 flop!)

i think i'll definitely stay at the $50s as i really like the extra time and the players seem a bit tighter but there are still quite a few dummies

no i know but the 200s and 100s play pretty different IMO and i really think the 100s are very beatable 8 tabling, stay at the 50s for now get however many under your belt and if you do well try the 100s, dont hold yourself back.

one huge advantage to possibly going up that high is even if my rate doesn't improve, i'll get quite a bit more just off rakeback
