Are there calculations to determine good Poker Tracker stats, or have most of the 'optimal' numbers been deduced through trial & error?

I know from all the other posts what percentages are good for 10 person tables, but I'd like to see how the numbers change for 6-max tables. Specifically VPIP, Won$ WSF, WSD%, W$SD, PFR%, BB/100....

I use Poker Tracker for Omaha8, so the calcs might be different compared to HE. The general idea should be the same, especially VPIP%, less opponents = higher VPIP. But how much higher????

Any thoughts, links, suggestions would be appreciated.

The only way to get "optimal" numbers...
Is to data mine at least 100,000 hands at given site and level...
For example 100,000 $2/$4 Party Poker hands.

I did this in about 6 weeks.

At this point I screened out...
150 "winning players" with significant playing time (300+ hands)...
Based on "correct" play...
VP$IP (14-25%)...
PFR (>8%)...
Won at Showdown (> 54%)...

Money won turned out to be 3.0 BB/hour for this group...
And this group played a total of 77,000 hands...
Or about 10% of all the hands.
(Remember if you load one hand...
It's really 10 hands by 10 people at a full table).

So you have 77,000 hands of "optimal" play.
What do you do with this data?

That's the million dollar question...
And all the various answers are a lot of work.

Obviously, you have to use VB or whatever to bypass PT...
And just scan the Access databases for what you need.
