i just read about this...evidently it's in quite a few casinos up here...kind of a combo between BJ and holdem

not sure how many players per table...but here's the gist of it...

6 deck shoe. bets are place prior to hands being dealt

youre dealt 4 cards face down....so is the dealer.

you get to choose 2 cards. if you have 2 pairs, you can split into 2 different hands, otherwise you have to discard 2 cards...the dealer has preset rules for his discard

after the discard, both flip their cards and 5 cards are dealt, the highest hand wins....

i may have to check with wong's site. there's gotta be a count to use along with knowledge of holdem starting hands that may garner an advantage. maybe not.

any thoughts? anyone seen this game?

This sounds like the "Hold'em Challenge" that David Sklansky invented/developed a couple of years ago. I remember reading about it in one of his essays posted on the main 2+2 website.
