View Full Version : Correct Play With Aces?

The setup:

I am the chip leader of the final table of a MTT. The blinds are 5000/10000. My stack is 1,200,000 and I'm in the big blind. The player on the button has roughly 120,000 chips and pushes all-in. The SB calls with his last 15,000. I have pocket Aces.

Do I call?

Here's my thinking: I realize that both of the other players can't have Aces, but one of them certainly can, and if it happens to be the small blind, now I've doubled him even though eliminating the other player.

Should I pick a better than this to try and win it?

Come on. This is one of the easiest calls ever. You can't pick much of a better spot than this.

An early nomination for dumbest post of the day.

5/10. You hooked someone but the setup isn't really that good.

A joke post by the way. In retrospect I think I've posted a lot of weak/tight questions, so I thought I'd post the meta-example of these and try and move on.

Thanks for the help to everyone who has responded to my posts.
