Middle relievers Mike Stanton and Paul Quantrill were cut by the Yankees.

How much more blood will follow in the next few months? Will Torre be back next year?

Stanton, Quantrill first to be let go by struggling Yanks (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2098031)

Want the Run Fairy back? He's on the DL though.

This is not George from 20 years ago. People like to forget that.

Yeah, no way Torre is leaving, unless he quits on his own.

I can see some other coaches being let go. Particularly, Mattlingly.

I would be extremely surprised if he fired Donnie, he loves him and hes done a fairly good job it seems. Stottlemeyer is not coming back for sure. I dont think he'll be fired publicly but he wont be back.

Mattingly will never be fired. He is by far the most popular ex-Yankee, and that includes Yogi, Reggie, Scooter, Gator, whoever. Not sure if Mattingly is to blame for lack of timely hitting, but he won't take the fall for it.
