I got the same email. Follow the link in the mail and it has the info. The first qualifier is free, and after that you have to accumulate (or use existing) player points to re-enter the qualifiers.

Time for a Paradise reload to kick off the promotion. I hope.

wow this is quite sick. what do you think a players equity is by playing in the qualifiers for the freeroll is? also, do you have to have a certain number of raked hands per month in order to play in these freerolls or is it open to anybody?

Its pretty complicated. You best to read the promotion page on it. Each qualifier moves on varying numbers from each tourney.

You need something like 100 raked hands to get a new entry token thing or something. But you get one free to start.

That's why I'm hoping for a reload bonus, so we can work off the reload while getting the entry token thingys.

Have you looked at the payouts?

1st = $1,000,000 (plus a free vacation for two to mystery tropical location)
2nd-10th = $10,000 (plus a free vacation for two to a mystery tropical location)
11th = $1,000 12th-50th = $500
51st-100th = $100
101st -500th = $50

That is going to be one wild final table. This is about as close to a winner take all tournamnet with 4000 entrants that you are likely to ever see.

Each seat in the final will be worth appx. $685 (1680 seats). Each freeroll awards 10 seats, so each freeroll has a price pool of $6,850. 100 hands is needed for each so the bonus pr qualifying hand will be as follows:

$68,5/# participants in freeroll

That's actually incorrect, each heat gives 10, 20, or 30 seats depending on what time of the day it takes place. Each day they give out exactly 60 seats total across the three heats. The heats run for 57 days (all 31 days of July, 26 days of August), so there will be exactly 3,420 entrants in the actual freeroll. The total prize pool is claimed to be $1,150,000, but if you add up the actual payouts listed you get $1,135,500. Based on the second number the freeroll is akin to a $332.02 buy-in with an unusually top-heavy pay scale.

However, considering that a fair number of players will just blind off b/c they forgot to show or had to skip it for some reason, I would say a solid player who's willing to "play to win" and essentially ignore the $50-$500 payouts should have an EV of at least a grand considering the likely competition. I certainly plan to play.

Going to be one hell of a headsup match. Freerolling for $990,000. /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Without deal the 2nd is buying something from his 10 grand to kill himself

My guess would be massive amounts of alcohol.

Yes, I misread and calculated based on 10 per tourney since it was in the 1st one.

They do not allow deals on the final table (probably for TV-reasons).

The best part will be the play before hand. Coming in 10th pays the same as 2nd. Should lead some loose play in an attempt to get a decent stack. From a sporting point of view I wish it was a million dollar tournament with a 500K first prize but I can see how marketing wise this is better.
