Just to let you know if you are interested, I did an online radio interview a while back that is now available on http://www.talktotara.com/

It requires RealPlayer, and you can go to it directly at http://www.talktotara.com/audio/ed_miller.rm

She waited a whole 11 minutes before asking about bluffing, I'm pretty impressed.

There is a serious lack of the word "fantastic" by you though, at least so far.

i'm a little sad since in my mind's ear, i'd always imagined you have a deeper, older man's sage'ish voice...

The interviewer asked suprisingly good questions, and you answered them well. Well done.

You sir, have a gold-plated future! Great nontechnical explanations-- you have a terrific grasp of who your audience is and how they think.

You could probably make a lot more money, though, selling "immunity to negative emotions." Your books are helpful, but I could really use a bottle of that.

I haven't heard your voice in so long, it took me right back to our conversations standing outside the pokerroom at mucks. It hasn't changed at all. Sounds like the same old Ed to me. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Great interview. Str8forward answers, no real sugarcoating. Love the little joke type stuff inside some of the answers. You were even cracking yourself up at some of them. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I also was a fan of Tara's when she had a radio show up here awhile back. Good to see she's doing something after she left.

btw...How DARE you mention 2+2's website!!! /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

How the hell were you not cracking up at this lady's ridiculous voice inflections?! Seriously. This is hilarious.

I noticed that. It was like she was reading off of a card. However, when she expanded a little on a question she sounded much more genuine.

Somehow I managed without Realplayer for about a year (I have about ten other media players) but downloaded RP just for this.

Anyway, it was funny and scripted at first, but she did get better as the interview went on as Bernie mentioned. My guess is Ed made her better by doing a good interview.

I'm very impressed by his new book BTW. I hope my future opponents don't read it. /images/graemlins/mad.gif

She called you "Noted Poker Authority."

And he signed off "Fantaastic."

I agree that she askes some surprisingly good questions and that Ed answered them (unsurprisingly) well.

Her inflection was really read in the beginning and end of the segment, when she was reading prewritten intro and outro stuff. During the interview she was much more conversational.

Overall a good listen.

She also sounds like she is reading a script badly even when she isnt.

Absolutely one of the most absolutely fantastic interviews I have absolutely ever heard. However, I am absolutely shocked that she didn't ask if he ever plays at Absolute.

Just started listening, but man her voice is annoying.
