Brunson is a very strong tournament player. He doesn't play in very many (presumably due to his age and his success at cash games -- mostly high buyin events in NV and CA) and makes a lot of final tables. Also the 6-max should be suited to his aggressive style of play.

There are now fifteen players left. This was the count a bit less than an hour ago:

1 Layne Flack $221,000
2 Paul Kraus $180,000
3 John Hennigan $145,000
4 Doyle Brunson $130,000
5 Minh Ly $118,000
6 Men Nguyen $117,000
7 Chris Ferguson $105,000
8 Scotty Nguyen $91,000
9 Brad Booth $80,000
10 Steve Rosen $77,000
11 Al Stonum $68,000
12 Arthur Azen $60,000
13 Jason Lester $58,000
14 Ferit Gabriellson $51,000
15 Ayaz Mahmood $33,000

Since then, Jesus doubled up off of Hennigan, and Mahmood doubled up off of Scotty N.

Jesus is out eleventh.

I'd love to see Doyle win this.

Plus the big game is usually played short, so he's quite comfortable with it, I'm sure. Good for him!!!

taken from cardplayer

Doyle Brunson raises from the button, Men Nguyen calls from the small blind, and Minh Ly moves all in from the big blind. Brunson calls, and Nguyen folds after showing A-K. Brunson then shows A-J and Ly has Q-Q. The flop comes Q-9-4 and Brunson is all but drawing dead. Two blanks fall and Ly doubles up to over $230,000. Brunson is now down to $165,000.
