Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (4 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Button (t1890)
SB (t4170)
Hero (t1915)
UTG (t2025)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5/images/graemlins/club.gif, 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
UTG and Button fold, SB pushes, Hero folds...

What is the cutoff here for calling? Do you call with 99? TT?

Do you have a read? Will he push any 2? Etc. etc. etc.

Good fold. I'd call with 88 and above and think seriously about 77.

Something like that. I think I call 99+, AK (maybe AQ, though I doubt it).

More if the guy's actually pushing 90% of hands here.

Forgot the nonpairs. Definitely AK. Probably AQ.

No real reads, but this is a 215 so I'm assuming he's not an idiot. That is he's not pushing every single time a stealing opportunity arises.

Oh, $215....

Wow, that makes this call a lot better.

He has a huge stack... How'd he get it? Has he folded in spots like this one?

If I'm pretty sure he pushes any 2, I call, otherwise, fold...

But the point is that doubling up here does nothing for me.

Edit: I think.

It allows you to bully everyone else, it allows you to finish 1st instead of scrapping for ITM, it forces everyone else to stop stealing at you. If he's pushing any 2, I find it very hard to laydown 55.

no offense, but if you dont see how doubling up here makes a huge difference you probably should be playing 215s.

if sb is pushing any 2, and people will at the 215s, I will call here from the BB sometimes. there are some people who will just go all in every single time here and a call can be good here then.

I can play the stakes I want and I will continue to learn. Don't worry about me. I appreciate your input, though.

if this is a 109+, this is an instant push. if you know he's a 2+2, you can pretty much call with anything. folding is very bad.

I can call with anything? What?

With how even the chip stacks were I wouldn't call here with anything less than KK/AA. Versus somebody who was obviously pushing any two I'd call with JJ/QQ and perhaps TT if I was getting fed up.

you cant call with anything.

you can call with a lot more than you think though, depending on your FE against the other short players.

Easy fold.

If everyone is aggressive, so that you can put SB on any two, and you don't have the FE you want, and it is very hard to get first into a pot, then you can think about 77+ and top Aces.

Normally, I think TT+, AK is about right.
