There seems to be 3 types of bad days by my estimation.

1) Cold Cards - No good cards coming (especially not at the right times) and you end up being blinded down and pushing crap. You repeatedly are called with dominating hands and don't suck out.

2) Hot Cards... numerous suckouts - Your cards have been great, big hands at the right time. The problem is you AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AK are losing over half the time and in monster pots on the bubble too. Early game you are raising with them and people are calling and flopping sets with smaller pairs. You are also running into slightly better premium hands more than usual. (most rare... has happened with me the last 2 days).

3) Coin flip losses - The cards are breaking even but you are losing what seems to be every coinflip. (most common)

I personally think #2 is the most disappointing but #3 is overall the most annoying. Regarding #1, I have more of a 'nothing you can do' attitude although I should have it for all of them.

4) Having people call your 7x BB AQ Push from Button with J7o.

5) Pushing from MP with AJ to run into AK.

Make it 4-5x BB and on the bubble. :P

4) Stealing from SB with J6o to run into J7o. Better?

The days of suckouts on premium hands get to me the most, where I start dreading getting dealt KK because I just know that either 1) I'll get called down by someone with a lower pair who will hit their set (or, on particularly vicious days, a flush or straight) or 2) I'll run into AA and not improve.

My worst profit/loss days have been when the cards were running crazy good and the luck was running crazy bad...

Suckouts, but coinflips is in second and it is very close. Cold cards don't bother me at all because it gives me more time to surf porn.

I bet your ROI would increase if you stopped having days like that.

I don't mind any of those days. I'm with Karak567 in that I only mind when I play badly or get outplayed. If someone out lucks me it doesn't phase me. It might be different if I were playing in an event where 1st vs. 2nd or Nth vs. N+1th or whatever was a significant amount of money. But the nice thing about STT is that this isn't the case and you can suck up the cold cards or bad luck with "that's poker" and move on and get them next time.

same here, suckouts and coinflips don't really bother me since I feel like there was nothing that I could do but when I knowingly made a bad play it really gets under my skin. One of the reasons that cold cards is so frustrating for me is that it feels like I'm playing bad even though I'm not. When you play a set and on almost every table you get blinded down to 7BB without a hand, push a couple of times and then get called and busted by a marginal hand it feels like your strategy is broken and that you somehow suck at poker.
