I was thinking about Jennifer Tilly's win in the women's competition and how, of course, it's a bit watered down version of a bracelet considering even a few of the top WOMEN don't ever play it, but hey, it's a bracelet nonetheless. I was also thinking it was kinda a dumb decision for Annie and Jen to pass it up this year, as it was worth some pretty big $$$ vs a far inferior field to normal. Then I thought what if there was a tourney at the WSOP for non-bracelet winners only? I would think that would be a big success, but then again, I doubt nowadays too many people aren't buying in because they feel they will be overmatched. Then again, many people PLAY these events just to play WITH some of the greats, so, maybe I'm an idiot.

Either way, let's take a vote on it.

Sure as long as there is an asterisk by the winners name. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I really doubt that most people would really care if pros were involved or not, and remember people don't like to feel like they are on a lower tier than anyone else. When someone enters an event, they are on the same level as the pros, it makes them feel good.

This would be like having the world series in baseball without the yankees, the braves, or any other team that had won it. Friggin stupid.

...it was called something like the Businessmen's Event. Then Jay Heimowitz won it and some pros went berserk and everyone started w/the "I'm not a pro, lemme enter", etc., and that was that.

Ain't gonna happen; people wanna play w/the big names.
