4 players (Blinds 200/400)
You have T 2700 and 99 on SB
BB 2400
UTG folds
Button T 3400 Calls
(rather tight guy who have called from SB with A7 at this level of blinds and checked all the way after)

Your action?

IS IT OK TO PUSH HERE ???

Easy push.

Easy push. Hopefully you'll grab the blinds, but even if you get called you are most likely best here.

thoughts on limping here? i'm not convinced a push is best when button is probably limping 2 overs or maybe even big pair and in my experience limpers like that call blind pushes a fair amount -- utg is also quite shortstacked with only ~4 BB

If you think button is limping a monster, then calling is terrible. What flop are you hoping to see?

You're hoping to get more information about his hand without risking you whole stack I guess, though I think a small preflop raise achieves this better.
It is an awkward spot though. UTG has 1500 chips and is about to post 600 in blinds. You are in second place, and the chip leader has just limped on the button with the blinds at 200-400. Why the hell would he do that? Big hand or he's an idiot, one or the other. Prior reads are important here.

You have 6BB, you can't probe for information in this situation. Push or fold.
