Mixed Doubles, Match Play

These were WSOP events from the 70s that are no longer around. Anyone remember what the rules/gameplay were like?

I think mixed doubles were 4 men, 4 women to a table, partners switch every half hour or level if I recalled it right. Match play was headsup matches.
