I played craps for the first time. Prior to the experience, I never new the dice flew off the table so much. If the dice fly off near you, do YOU pick them up, or do you keep your eyes on your money (on the rail) and the table?

its not your job to find the dice. worry about your interests first. the house would just as soon people didnt touch the dice when out of sight anyway. i hope you have a good income and can afford the loses at the dice table you will surely have.

Zee,

Are you suggesting there are no professional craps players? If your answer is yes. Once again you have foiled my plans. I have always wanted to be a craps pro...

SPM,...not enough skill or luck to be a pro at Hold'em...

Keep your eye on the beautiful woman next to you who is stealing your chips while you are trying to watch your money. Might as well get some enjoyment out of it. /images/smile.gif

there are many professional crap players. many that earn their living playing craps. of couse those are those paid by the casino minimum wage to play when there is no action to bring in a sucker to the table.

since you have no control over your edge to bring it positive only to bring it less negative, craps cannot be beat without cheating. so in effect you have about a 1% negative disadvantage for every dollar you bet. so the way i look at it, every dollar you bet you are paying the creepy casino a dollar for the priviledge to stand there like an idiot and watch a bigger idiot throw the dice against the table. still its an exciting tourture for some so inclined to be broke and despondent.

The more times you throw the dice off the table, the fewer throws you will be able to bet on, thus slowing your rate of loss. Anyways, if you care about the money, I'd advise you to begin by taking it OFF the craps table altogether.

despite what has been said above, I will tell you that there are people who make money off of craps

I knew a guy who was making over 100k every year from the crap game he operated in the suburbs of a large city in Texas.

Listen to the dice. Even the dice don't want to be at the Craps table. They're trying to tell you something. When the inanimate objects get around to demonstrating the appropriate actions at the table; ie, leaving in the greatest haste possible; it might do well to follow their lead...
