I'd have to take "One in a Million" by G 'n R. Slash's opening guitar riff gets me ready to go everytime.

AC/DC - The Jack

Just because it would relax me and make me smile.

"Take a Look Around" by Limp Bizkit. Bass turned up for that one part before the "now i know why" repeat.

This is poker, not a prize fight. You don't want to get all amped up. I go something mellow. Right now, I'd go something like Wilco-"Jesus, etc." or even some Coldplay.

Do you really get all cranked up to play poker? I would probably pick some James Taylor, or something along those lines that would calm me down, and mellow me out.

Kenny Rogers - The Gambler

Actually I'd probably be running around going "OMG WTF I made a final table WOOO!"

Does HoH come in an audiobook?

Anything from Iron Maiden

Most likely 'Powerslave', '2 Minutes to Midnight' or 'Moonchild'

If that doesn't pump you up, well, you're dead

ooooh, good call on the mellow James Taylor (yeah there's a good mix, JT and Maiden...)

Reel Big Fish - Big [censored]' Star (except they changed the name to Big Star on WDTRSH, and its a lot better song on that CD than Everything Sucks)

I don't know why, but I've always listened to that song before games. It's really not the type of song that should get you amped.

"You've Got Another Thing Comin'" by Judas Priest. Gets my energy and aggression levels nice and high.

2nd place would be 'Wake Up' by RAtM.

If I was wiped out because I couldn't sleep the night before due to nervousness/excitement and needed to get pumped up:

"I want it all" by Queen

If I was bouncing off the walls with adrenaline and needed to calm down:

"If I had a million dollars" by Barenaked Ladies.

Yes, I do want to get amped up. This is a final table, and I personally feel that the "Eye of the Tiger" lyrics would fit my underdog status. In my mind, it would push me to play aggressively and confidently, which is certainly needed at a final table.
