I've found that the best thing to do when I'm pissed off is reply to OOT threads about crappy nu-metal bands.

I'd have to go with Disturbed. I can't stand Godsmack.

If im pist off at the world i either like to listen to Pantera or Hatebreed both seem to do the trick. But if i had to pick between Godsmack and Disturbed i would chose Disturbeds first cd.

Listen to real metal:

Monstrosity, Slayer, Bolt Thrower, Cannibal Corpse, Ritual Carnage, Pig Destoyer, Amongst Us, Arsis, Misery Index, Immolation, and many more real extreme metal bands that kill that radio sh**.

I don't think they're referred to as metal but what are bands like Drive Like Jehu and Blood Brothers? I like these kinds of bands, but can't really stand the types you list as "real metal".

Blood brothers falls into the hardcore scene. Screamo i believe not sure about Jehu never heard of them.

Thursday is Emo i believe. I consider good screamo like converge.

I saw Godsmack last year when they supported Metallica the positive was by the time I got there they were just finishing.

Out of the two I would pick Disturbed.

Thursday does suck but converge is one of the most tallented bands around regardless if u cant understand what they r saying. If u just listen to the music its really technical but that just my OP.

Since disturbed blows goat ass, and anyone who actually likes them is suspect in terms of being a real metal fan. I guess I go with godsmack

Since they both suck, if I were you--I would write in my myspace blog about your feelings and express your anger in a poem.

Look for bands that mix hardcore and metal. You'll get what you like about Blood Brothers plus some good metal riffs.

Try Darkest Hour (the new one sucks though), Botch, Karp, Goatwhore, The Red Chord, Keelhaul, Kylesa, Blessing the Hogs to start.
