Playing in a $3 buy in w/ rebuys-addon (1st hour) for TEC into WSOP $100 direct entry satellite. Top 7 get TEC's, next 5 get some cash. There's 23 players left out of 127, blinds are 300-600 w/ 75 ante. 8 handed. I have just under 18,000 in chips, 4th at the table.

Folded to me with 66 in third position, behind me is small stack (2500), medium stack (22500), and big stack (50000) in that order. Small blind is a short stack, big blind has like twice my stack.

I call, everyone folds to the blinds, SB calls, BB checks.

Flop comes: 6 /images/graemlins/spade.gif8 /images/graemlins/club.gifA /images/graemlins/spade.gif

Checked to me, I bet 3000 into a 2400 pot to ruin odds for any flush draws. SB folds, BB checkraises to 11,400, essentially putting me all in. I think for a millisecond and go all in for my remaining 14,320, he has to call being pot committed at this point.

Wanted some objective opinions on the preflop and flop play. Legitimate call preflop? Would anyone lay this down on the flop with the huge checkraise after making bottom set?

Results to follow.
