I've been noticing an influx of HHs that are not converted. PLEASE START USING THIS LINK (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi).

Thank you.

P.S. Maybe the link could also be some kind of sticky? Just thinking out loud.

I bet more people would use the convertor if it actually worked.

I remember that thread. How many of you who are experiencing problems are getting your hand histories from the 'last hand' or from your archives on empire (dunno if it's on the other skins)?

I had problems with those but when I started using the HHs emailed to me (when you click Yes to their "do you want HH emailed to you" after the tourney) I have yet to have a problem, and one very noticeable different is that the players are actually listed in the order of their seats in the emails.

My solution is simply to use the emailed HHs. raw text, while it might be easy for some of you, is hard on my eyes and quite plainly, I can interpret and read the converted ones much faster than raw text, for obvious reasons.

Has anyone had any problem with emailed HHs? The example below and the few I've tried (with all-ins) seem fine.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Button (t460)
SB (t810)
BB (t1345)
UTG (t960)
UTG+1 (t1280)
UTG+2 (t930)
MP1 (t900)
Hero (t1165)
MP3 (t1055)
CO (t1095)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with T/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 4/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls t30, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO raises to t60</font>, Button calls t60, SB calls t45, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls t30.

Flop: (t270) A/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 5/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 bets t90</font>, CO folds, Button folds, SB calls t90.

Turn: (t450) J/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 bets t250</font>, SB calls t250.

River: (t950) K/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets t410 (All-In)</font>, UTG+1 calls t410.

Final Pot: t1770

I still use it and edit where necessary, but considering about 75% of SNG hands that are posted involve an all-in hand (which is exactly where the converter decides to stop converting) it doesn't surprise me that a lot of posters have finally said screw it and are posting the entire HH.

Do people convert their own hand histories when they look at them? I don't, and it's the converted text that looks strange to me. Maybe I just look at more of my own than most people do.

Slightly OT, what's the best way to reach bison? He's not taking PMs. Apparently the last thread he posted on is this one (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&amp;Board=exchange&amp;Number=2736634) but i don't want to go hunting people down if that's a breach of netiquette. There's an email given on the converter site for Neteller donations but I don't know if it's live or not.

Oh, and incidentally the OP omits the fact that some sites are not supported. (Not everyone plays just Party.) I'd like to write converter code for Absolute, hence my desire to contact him.
TIA

he has an email listed on his site.

Which one, "You can also donate through neteller by sending to offlikeapr..."? Oooh, I just noticed the "hand converter thread" link -- maybe I'll try that one.

There is a project on sourceforge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/handconverter/). Just check it out of CVS, change the code you need, and submit a patch. Unfortunately he doesn't seem very active with the site like he said he would.

Thanks. However, there doesn't appear to be any source code (http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/handconverter/), or the CVS browser is malfunctioning (it looked OK for gaim). Hmmmm....

Yeah, I just realized he never put anything into CVS. I guess you just have to hack at the source release he gave. He hasn't responded to any of the bugs/features/patches posted either. So perhaps he's been busy or has given up on it. Or just hopes someone else will do the work.
