But not by as much as Seinfeld is better than Family Guy.

Problem with this poll is the young population in this forum never truly experienced Cheers. Simpsons are still current, mainly due to the fact that they are CARTOONS!

Simpsons are great, don't get me wrong, but Cheers is just so far beyond.
There's an uber-sitcom land, Seinfeld and Cheers are in it, along with All in the Family and maybe one or two more.

The Simpsons may be invited to visit every now and then...

this is silly. cheers is completely not in the league of the other 3. contest is ruined.

Name another show with 50+ developed characters, that half of America would recognize on sight. Consistency is a foundation for success in any field, and no TV show except maybe The Price Is Right and a few soaps can hold a candle to The Simpsons in that department.

I loved Seinfeld, but The Simpsons is getting my vote in the finals.

The problem I have with voting for the Simpsons in the finals, is that there are times during its run (right now being part of it) where I dont watch the new episodes. And the same was never said of Seinfeld.

There is very little that was better than the Simpsons' prime. But, right now, its pretty weak.

hell yea why is it even a choice.

Fam guy and seinfeld are top 2 from those options with Seinfeld WAY up top.

Seinfeld should be DQ'ed just because of all the annoying fucks who used catch phrases from that show in real life.

Same for Friends, but it sucked anyway.

Why is it only the New Yorkers care about Seinfeld? And hate Cheers, which was set in Boston? Hmmmmmmmm.....

Okay, maybe the only example I have to back that theory up is JBB, but still...

while all four shows listed are very good, seinfeld is far and away the best show ever shown on television. period.

Was Sex and City every nominated. Just curious. Our Entourage I don't know if those count as Sitcoms or not.

All I know is Entourage is probably the one of the best shows on TV right now.

my very first FYP.

for example, these 8 in a row shows from season 4:
The Opera
The Contest
The Airport
The Pick
The Movie
The Visa
The Shoes
The Outing

an absolute murdere's row.

Where's Married with Children? Was it ever in the contest? It better not have been or else something has gone terribly wrong with the voting.
