Stupid name...Good music

Found a new cd to recommend. Got this album last week and am really enjoying it. The band's name is Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, which I find to be very annoying. To make matters worse, that is the name of the album as well. In any case, they are a bit small so their cd is only available through INSound (http://search.insound.com/search/artist.jsp?artist=INS30778).

If you head over to their site (http://clapyourhandssayyeah.com/shows.php) there are 3 songs from the album you can download and listen to (my favorite is upon this tidal wave of young blood). And if you live in NY, they have a couple shows coming up you could check out. In any case, I like them, and you should too!

Meh. I listened to the three tracks you linked when Pitchfork put them up ~a week ago and I wasn't that impressed. They're fine, but not nearly as good as I expected for the rating Pitchfork gave them. Their ratings are really off for my taste anyway a ton of the time, so take that for what it's worth. : /

I agree with a lot of Pitchfork's ratings, but this one was way off. I wasn't too impressed with the tracks offered.
