View Full Version : Post a pic of your house with Google Earth

I found this pretty amusing, couldn't help myself.
What I DID notice was that the picture database with Google earth is around 5 years old, because the yard around our house looks much different now than it did with that pic. I am just estimating how long ago it was.
This is my dad's house, he's about to sell it. It's the one shaped like an L
http://img191.echo.cx/img191/3576/dadshouse2eg.jpg
And this is my mom's house.
http://img115.echo.cx/img115/7763/momshouse5ev.jpg
It's the one with the pool. My bumper is now busted because our driveway is a steep hill, and the parking brake snapped out of position (94 truck, old parking brake) and it rolled across the street and rammed into the tree that is in direct line with our front door.
Anyways, post pics if you want.

That looks nice. Is that some sort of Boston Commons for Chicago? I have never been there, been meaning to.

humboldt park, on the west side. the neighborhood is a bit shady, but the park kicks ass. it was designed by the guy that also did the lakefront and central park in NY.

You can even see my old Red 95 Nissan Truck in the driveway, the thing has 250K miles on it and still runs great.

Weird... my house (Austell, GA) looks like it was taken quite a few years ago... but my parents' house (Macon, GA) had to be taken fairly recently, judging from the progress of the construction around them.

Why is the sea colour coded for features? Satellite pictures wont show the mariana trench for example.

It's kinda funny, it only works on one of my monitors. I have them plugged into two different video cards, so it must not be compatible with one. It's really weird though, when I have the display split between monitors and start dragging the map around, only one side has any reaction.
