see the thread in huss for why a lot of 5/10 players aren't happy. personally even though I just got butt sexed in that game I dont care as I still think I will be a favorite n the new game (and as rory said in IRC, so should most 2+2ers). it does hurt some of the earning potential though.

1) fish will be more willing to move down to 3/6 instead of "all the way" to 1/2

2) 1/2 players will take fewer shots at 5/10

that said the 5/10 6m will still be a very good game

from what ive seen, these games arent going to be nearly as soft as the stars games, but they do seem pretty soft....

They also seem less aggro than the 5/10 6m, which i think bodes well for that game, as the true action junkies will probably still be around...

I currently rape the 1/2 sixmax games and was planning on moving my money over to Stars after my rakeback installment. NOT ANYMORE.

This is not correct. The state of 5/10 full games around the net is good. It is only bad if you insist on limiting yourself to Party.

3/6 full will be the same way now. The games will still be good, but you will have to be willing to go to them.

With all levels now having 6max except for 2/4 it looks like the HUSH forum is really going to grow too. Here's hoping this somehow puts pressure on the writers to give us some solid HUSH 2+2 books.

IMO 2/4 will turn into batting practice.

Ive got mixed emotions about the new tables though. It will be good so I can start on my shorthanded play without compiling the roll for 5/10 6max but im sure its gonna tighten up 3/6 full.

I love this because I was only doing only 1.50bb/100 at $5-10 6MAX's but 3.00 bb/100 in $3-6 6/5MAX- now it's easier to play short on Party and make the same hourly rate but my standard deviation is $100 per 100 hands at $3-6 6MAX vs. $150 per 100 hands at $5-10 6MAX.

After thinking about it, after a month or so the effect on the 5/10 6-max and 3/6 full gmes will be pretty minor.

I just got done with my 5/10 full session for the night. I was consistently on good tables. One Party table I was on had 4 people with 40+VPIP. The tables at the other sites were good too.

Just game selection and not letting yourself be a slave to rakeback.

I'll probably hit 5/10 6-max in September or so. From what I have seen the "goodness" of the Party Poker game in relation to other sites is over exagerrated. I will go as far as saying that if you think this is going to have a huge impact, you play way too much on Party and were missing the boat on good games already.

It sucks big time. You can't make enough playing 3/6 short because most people only play 3 or 4 tables. Playing 8 full is easy but 8 short isn't. Short is fun for a while but it burns you out and you can't put in the hours or the number of tables. From my point of view, you have to play at 5/10 or higher short to make it worth while and those games will suffer eventually as well.

Let's say you win 2bb/100 4-tabling 3/6 short and have 20% rakeback, since 4-tabling short gives you 360 hands per hour that's $43/hr in play + $17/hr (1.40av rake, 5.45av players) in rakeback.

$60/hr is not much to you?

8-tabling 3/6 full would only net you about $4 more per hour with the same bb/100.
