Wendover Q&A

I shall be in Wendover Saturday. I think one poster here plays there- Bill M I think. Rainbow was unable to give me a room, so I will stay at the Stateline. It sounds like their room is struggling to get customers back, so I am a little worried about the games. Since I am getting a casino rate I will give them some play, but want to check out the Rainbow too. I have heard the Rainbow will totally comp rooms. I called and didn't expect a full comp or anything since they don't know me and I haven't played there, but it seemed like a struggle to get information. The hotel was booked, so I called the Stateline. I spoke to someone who was helpful and knew what was going on. Can I expect any food comps or more of a discount on the room. (It seems real cheap now though, so I am happy w/ the rate.)

Anyway, I heard the 2-5 games in Wendover are fantastic. I intend to play 2-5 or 5-10 at the Stateline and maybe some 10-20. I have heard the 15-30 games are fantastic in Wendover, but my bankroll is too small. I may play 10-20 if the game looks good, but I probably shouldn't even play that. I have heard conflicting things on whether there are any Omaha/8 games down there. I want to start playing that some.


Any hints appreciated from any Wendover players.

Staeline is strugglin, but two weekends ago they had a coupla 2-5 games going. This Sat will be a zoo cuza deer widows weekend, bigger than new years eve. There aint enough players to fill both poker rooms.


Didja talk to the poker room at rainbow when you called there? rainbow will give ya buffet comps if they've gotten the tickets back from the printer. Omaha hardly ever goes out there. I'd play the 5-10 at rainbow if I were you, andyer right to stay outa the 15-30. BillM's a stone killer and Deeb's even better...

Yes, I spoke to the poker room. But they didn't know if they had any rooms set aside. So I couldn't get one. Sounds like it may be because of the weekend festivities. I intend to play both places, but will give Stateline some play first because of the room rate. Sounds like 5-10 @ Rainbow is what I should play.
