This time the teen survived, but lost his leg.

I don't mean to trivialize these attacks that have already killed a person, but isn't this scenario eerily like Jaws? I mean those attacks in the movie took place right before a big holiday weekend - but in the movie I think it was Memorial Day?

Oh, it's good to know the "news" networks will have something to fill their time with this summer.

What I think is weird is that people are going right back in the next day, with their toddlers. I fully agree with taking our own chances in life, but ... with your kid?

I saw one lady talking about it and then taking her kid in the water on the news -- looking around for sharks, just to be safe. What's she going to do if she sees one, anyway? Friggin idiotic.

I loved that game.

I don't know what people think about. Maybe the water is so clear in the Florida panhandle that they think they can see the shark easily.

Not sure what you can once you see the shark - even though the hitting it on the nose thing seems to be common knowledge now. I found this picture - really ominous looking...

Actually, hitting it on the nose is (reportedly) no g00t. As I understood it, you're supposed to go for the gills or eyes. I mean, I'd rather hit it somewhere soft and squishy rather than something with just a bunch of bone behind it.

You people are incredibly paranoid.
