I'll be back home in Texas by the 3rd...Austin to be exact. I intend to stuff myself sill on all the good food I can't get here. As posted elsewhere...
[ QUOTE ]
I will also plan to eat at Enchiladas Y Mas, Saltlick, Angie's, Threadgills, Fagnolia, Hyde Park Grill, Conan's and Kerbey Lane in the three days I'm there. I'll also be drinking at Baby A's (the straight one), Maggie's and Lovejoy's (assuming they're all still there) and anywhere else I'm dragged to. Alas, my favorite Austin bar (Charlie's Attic) shut down some years ago.
[/ QUOTE ]
Then on the 8th, I'm headed to the beach house on Galveston. Not the greatest beach-place but still fun with the family.

on the 2nd, me and a few of my friends will make the annual pilgrimage up to TN to get fireworks, then over to a friends house on the 4th to eat some burgers and brats, drink some beer and celebrate being free in the best [censored] country on this planet by blowing [censored] up.
The 4th of July is also my favorite holiday.

Working for a politician... especially in an election year... I'll be handing out balloons at a crappy local fireworks show and missing DC's fireworks for the second year in a row.

Serves you right. Anyone with a Canadian flag avatar doesn't deserve the 4th of July.

Back home to Vermont for a few days. Haven't been there in almost three years. Can't wait to get out of the city for a bit.

Redneck weekend. Saturday - Craftsman Truck Series at Kansas Speedway. Sunday - IRL race at Kansas Speedway. After that it is to my parents house (in a town of <400) for hometown 4th celebration on Monday, plenty of homemade ice cream, and German chocolate cake.

Fireworks are legal here, so I'm gonna kick it in my front yard all day, barbeque, drink, eat and do fireworks.

Well, um, I actually have a pretty nice little Saturday planned. We're uh, gonna go to Home Depot, yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, and Beyond I don't know. I don't know if we'll have enough time.
